Rare White Giraffe Discovered

Posted in 2017, animals with tags , , , , on September 19, 2017 by theboldcorsicanflame

Conservation Rangers were left stunned after the discovery of an extremely rare white giraffe and her calf.

Rumours had circulated of a white giraffe and her baby in the local area of the Ishaqbini conservation, in Garissa County, Kenya, but rangers finally got to see the real thing after a tip off in June, this year.

The group of giraffes appeared calm as the Rangers got closer and seemed undeterred by their presence. A ranger said: “While observing the magnificent long necked animal looking at us, I could not help but see the fading reticulates on their skin.

“It was evident that the colouration, especially on the mother giraffe, was not as conspicuous as the baby.”

The Parc des Bouillides located around Valbonne, French Riviera is a very popular park in the South East part of France.

Everybody comes here to enjoy a “free” gorgeous area. You can chill out, play, run, practice sports in a preserved environment but not for long…

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

It’s a must to stop the local politicians and the French Railway Company, SNCF, from destroying the Parc des Bouillides as they want to implement a railway station in the core of it!

4500 people live around the park plus many trees, animals, even a rare species of turtle.

Please help us out. In advance thank you for supporting its conservation by signing the petition online:

African Animals Getting Drunk From Ripe Marula Fruit

Posted in 2014, animals with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 11, 2014 by theboldcorsicanflame

A scene from “Animals are Beautiful People” that shows African animals getting drunk after eating fermenting marula fruit, the fruit used to make the alcoholic drink, Amarula. The film was made in 1974 and starred an all-animal cast of wild African animals. Shot in and around South Africa, the movie went straight to cinema and has thrilled audiences ever since.

One of the most beloved scenes from the nature documentary is the one shown in this clip. Baboons, elephants and even ostriches eat the ripe, fermenting marula fruit and start stumbling around in a drunken parody of humans who have been drinking.

“Animals are Beautiful People” draw many similarities between animals and humans, personifying the wild creatures in an attempt to inspire humans to view their animal brethren with more humanity.

Attached a Gopro to a crab net, surprised by what actually goes on down there.
