Gamma-ray telescopes reveal a high-energy trap in our galaxy’s center

The five telescopes of the High Energy Stereoscopic System (H.E.S.S.), located in Namibia, capture faint flashes that occur when ultrahigh-energy gamma rays are absorbed in the upper atmosphere. A new study of the galactic center combines high-energy observations from H.E.S.S. with lower-energy data from NASA’s Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope to show that some of the speediest particles become trapped there. In March 2016, scientists with the H.E.S.S. Collaboration reported gamma-ray evidence of the extreme activity in the galactic center. The team found a diffuse glow of gamma rays reaching nearly 50 trillion electron volts (TeV). That’s some 50 times greater than the gamma-ray energies observed by Fermi’s Large Area Telescope (LAT). To put these numbers in perspective, the energy of visible light ranges from about 2 to 3 electron volts.

The Fermi spacecraft detects gamma rays when they enter the LAT. On the ground, H.E.S.S. detects the emission when the atmosphere absorbs gamma rays, which triggers a cascade of particles resulting in a flash of blue light.

In a new analysis, published July 17 in the journal Physical Review Letters, an international team of scientists combined low-energy LAT data with high-energy H.E.S.S. observations. The result was a continuous gamma-ray spectrum describing the galactic center emission across a thousandfold span of energy.

Lance Johnson, Natural News 7-27-17… “NASA spacecraft missions have proven that Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Venus have all suffered “climate change” … without any human activity whatsoever”

Looks like the “climate change is solely caused by man” concept (aka, “agenda”) continues to be publicly debunked. And of course, the data mentioned in this article also goes along with what has been presented by David Wilcock.

“…today there is a global movement that seeks to control these cycles, predict and manipulate the changes that naturally take place on our planet. This climate change movement seeks to control levels of atmospheric gases (primarily carbon dioxide) which humans naturally exhale. This climate change agenda seeks to engineer the Earth’s atmosphere in hopes of changing temperature and weather. The implications are unsettling.

“The climate change agenda is only interested in proving that human activity is causing the planet to warm. Specifically, this agenda wants to target carbon dioxide as the problem… why would carbon dioxide automatically be the “pollutant” to blame?

“…NASA missions have documented climate change on other planets, including Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter. If carbon dioxide emissions from human activity were the extreme pollutant burning up planet Earth, then why have other planets experienced extreme heating, climate change, extraordinary storms, and massive changes in their atmospheres? None of these planets have humans present to destroy them… The climate change that occurs on other planets puts everything into perspective.

“Mars is warming due to solar cycles… Carbon dioxide released by human activity pales in comparison to natural CO2 release… Storm patterns on Jupiter cause temperature changes not caused by human activity…

“In the fight to prove that carbon dioxide emissions are going to destroy the planet, climate change alarmists are not seeing the bigger picture. Maybe that’s because there is a more sinister agenda behind climate change and a lot of money is at stake.”

July 29th, 2017: One of the largest volcanoes in Iceland, Katla, alert raised, glacial outburst flood ongoing in Múlakvísl river

Posted in 2017 with tags , , , , on July 30, 2017 by theboldcorsicanflame

An eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in 2010 caused the cancellation of more than 100,000 flights across Europe on concern that glass-like particles formed from lava might melt in aircraft engines and clog turbines.

A glacial outburst flood started in Iceland’s Múlakvísl river around midnight UTC on July 29, 2017. Electrical conductivity is now measured around 580µS/cm and has increased rapidly the last hour, Icelandic Met Office (IMO) reported 10:14 UTC on July 29. Increasing water levels of this river are an important indicator of Katla’s upcoming volcanic eruptions.

Conductivity is an indicator for the amount of geothermal meltwater in the river. Prior to glacial river surges, the conductivity in Múlakvísl river starts rising. This elevation of conductivity can last several days before an actual river surge starts.

At 05:13 UTC on July 29, IMO reported that the color code for Katla volcano is now Yellow (signs of elevated unrest above known background levels) due to glacial flood and seismic tremor.

“The scenario is very similar to the 2011 glacial flood event when the Ring Road bridge was destroyed,” the agency said.

Space-based observatories recorded another powerful explosion on the farside of the sun today

Posted in 2017, astronomy, Galaxy with tags , , on July 29, 2017 by theboldcorsicanflame

The blast hurled a bright coronal mass ejection (CME) over the sun’s northeastern limb, shown here in a movie from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO)

NASA’s STEREO-A spacecraft, which has a partial view of the sun’s farside, pinpointed the explosion: The source appears to be old sunspot AR2665. The huge active region crossed the Earthside of the sun in early July, sparking moderately strong geomagnetic storms when it faced our planet. Apparently, it is still active, producing at least three significant CMEs since it began its farside transit more than 10 days ago.

AR2665 will spin back around to face Earth in early August. If the sunspot continues to explode, it could bring a new round of geomagnetic storms and auroras to our planet. Stay tuned. Free: Solar Flare Alerts

Arctic Circle have reported nightly displays of bright noctilucent clouds.

NASA’s AIM spacecraft took this picture of the entire Arctic surrounded by an electric-blue glow on July 24th

NOCTILUCENT CLOUDS FROM SPACE: This week, sky watchers near the Arctic Circle have reported nightly displays of bright noctilucent clouds.  The silvery ripples of NLCs look amazing from the ground, but they look even better from space.

Regular readers of have been waiting for this image since June. Normally, AIM  transmits pictures of NLCs every day, but the regular flow of data was interrupted months ago. The reason has to do with the spacecraft’s orbit. Since AIM was launched in 2007, its orbit has been precessing–that is, slowly rotating with respect to the planet below. Eventually, accumulated changes in AIM’s orbital elements required a new way of pointing the spacecraft’s instruments. Mission controllers have been working on that problem all summer long–and it has finally been solved.

July 25, 2017:Violent hailstorms hit Italy, covering beaches in white

A violent hailstorm hit Italian towns of Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto, Marche province in central Italy on July 25, 2017, covering towns and their sandy beaches in a thick layer of ice.

The storm, accompanied by heavy rain and violent wind bursts, dropped significant amounts of hail, with some of the hailstones as big as tennis balls, local media report.

Hailstones damaged roofs, windows, cars and other infrastructure. Numerous calls have been made to emergency services
