Areas of the world most affected by rising sea level
Countries of the world already affected by climate change – and particularly small island states are particularly vulnerable to rising sea levels. Recall that rising sea level is caused by two main factors: the expansion of water and melting glaciers, two consequences of global warming.
Natural disasters (floods, typhoons, tornadoes …) are also causing a lot of damage, as can be seen in this photo of victims forced to leave their flooded homes in New Bataan, Compostela Valley in the Philippines .
